Support for Squiggle Zoo: Learn to Draw
Questions
- Where is the parents' page?
- Every screen has a small mark of three dots, the "grown-ups' mark", in the top right corner of the touch area (in left-to-right languages). Press and hold it for 3 seconds, then answer the multiplication question. With VoiceOver or Switch Control, a single activation of the mark brings up the question. If you turn on "No long presses or double taps" on the parents' page, a single tap does too.
- I bought All Animals but can't draw them
- Tap "Restore Purchase" on the parents' page. Anyone on the same Apple Account, including Family Sharing, can use it at no extra cost. If it says the purchase is waiting for approval, the family organiser needs to approve the Ask to Buy request.
- I have a new device (drawings and purchases)
- Drawings are stored only on the device. If you restore the new device from an iCloud or computer backup, the drawings come with it. The videos of drawings coming to life are not included in backups, so they don't carry over, but the drawings still move in the zoo. The purchase comes back with "Restore Purchase" on the parents' page (same Apple Account).
- How do I remove a drawn animal?
- Children can carry an animal to the house to let it rest, and call it back any time. Deleting a drawing for good is only possible from the list of drawings on the parents' page, with two confirmations.
- Saving to Photos doesn't work
- The first time you tap "Save to Photos", the device asks whether the app may add to Photos. If you declined, go to Settings > Draw Zoo > Photos and choose "Add Photos Only". The app never reads your photo library.
- I can't hear the teacher
- Turn up the volume. The teacher's voice plays even in silent mode, unless "Silence the Teacher in Silent Mode" is on in the parents' page (music, sound effects and animal sounds follow silent mode; only a sound effect that overlaps the teacher's voice may be heard quietly). You can set the volume of the teacher's voice, music and sound effects separately on the parents' page. Check that no Bluetooth speaker or headphones are connected.
- Can it be quieter?
- Turn on "Calm play" on the parents' page to turn off the music, make sound effects softer and quieter, and let animals make sounds only when touched. Hopping and flashes are gentler, with fewer animals in the zoo at once.
- My child is left-handed
- Turn on "Tools on the left" on the parents' page to put the crayons and tools on the left side.
